Comment:Thanks Ron Dubin and all who help you with putting this together. Great idea! I'm a '62 grad, but have been gone from Chicago for 40 years, and with no family left there do not get back at all. I'm just starting to get caught up, and this is great. I'd love to hear from guys I knew back in the day. I notice that Pete Blidy is in California, but is he a pro golfer or a dentist? I was also thrilled to see the '68 Monarchs football team is being honored this year for their City Title. I was between radio jobs that fall, and tape recorded play-by-play of all their games through the Catholic League Championship just to stay in shape. I had accepted a new job down here in Keokuk just before the league title game, so I missed Lou Guida's boys taking the City Championship, but my memories of that fall will never fade. I still have the tapes, somewhere, but it's hard to find the machine on which to play them.
Anyway, anyone from my era who recognizes my name, I'd love to hear from you.

Comment:I'd like to thank Ron and others who have taken the time out to put together this website, the committees that have worked on various projects like the hall of fame (just read about that today) and the Alumni gatherings. I'm a graduate of 1984 and have visited the campus several times during business trips to Chicago, just to remember how much Mendel meant to me. I've touched base with a few friends I graduated with but would like to connect with more. My next visit to Chicago I will certainly stop by to see the Hall of Fame, and may make a nomination myself for Coach Ed Adams, my track coach who did so much to make our team the powerhouse of the Catholic league, he certainly made an impact in my life and I would like to celebrate his success during his time at Mendel.

Comment:In planning on attending an All Class Reunion for my old elementary school (St. Florian) in the southside of Chicago made me think about Mendel. I'm sure glad I was informed about this website. I'm an alumnus from the class of 1972. Interested in hearing from other classmates from 1972.
